Galveston Doesn't Close for Winter

Galveston doesn't close in the fall. The crowds thin, the weather is perfect (70s through October, 60s in November), and Hotel Lucine's live music, craft cocktails, and Gulf Coast dining continue year-round. It's the kind of weather that makes you want to actually sit outside instead of ducking for shade every twenty minutes.

We have live music every Friday & Saturday on property wherever the weather lets us put it. Sometimes it’s in the coziness of The Den, sometimes it’s in the Pergola, or our favorite, the sunset backed Rooftop. Wellness events such as pilates & yoga happen most Sundays on the Roof & move inside if it’s too cold.

The city holds up their end of the bargain, too. September through March is when the island quietly turns into a festival town. Artober fest gives local & regional creatives a chance to showcase their handmade goods, Lone Star Rally brings in bikers from all over the country, Dickens on the Strand honors the Victorian era, and Mardi Gras parades & beignets take over downtown. 

So if you've been holding out for a summer trip, don't. If anything, fall and winter might be our favorite time to have you here.
