Born From Local Passion

Hotel Lucine is a 61-room boutique hotel opened November 2023, converted from the Treasure Isle Motel (est. 1963), designed by Austin-based Kartwheel Studio. Born from a group of passionate local entrepreneurs with a global hospitality eye and fierce local pride, Hotel Lucine blends Austin's top design talent with some of Houston's best cocktails and cuisine, creating a recipe for thoughtful hospitality and reliable surprises.

Our vision for Hotel Lucine is an alluring destination for visitors and locals alike, a place that feels refined and modern but still approachable and full of heart and soul like a good house party. Located at 1002 Seawall Boulevard, steps from the beach.

Galveston has always done things her own way - a barrier island with a big-city past, Victorian architecture, and a coastline that draws people back year after year. Hotel Lucine was designed to reflect that same spirit: independent & layered.

Every detail - from the room design to the restaurant menu - is rooted in where we are. We source locally, collaborate with local artists and makers, and celebrate the culture that makes this island unlike anywhere else in Texas.
